So cute!

Jase is getting so big. He is probably almost 20 lbs now and about 26 inches long. He will be 4 months old on June 5th. He's definitely a smart little boy already! He can roll over (which he did for the first time at Aunt Ashley's a couple weeks ago), move toys from hand to hand, and he talks all the time. He's so precious, they just have to move closer so Camden and him can play all the time!

June 9th is THE Day!

After going to the doctors office three times this week and the hospital once, we still have no Camden. The good news is that the end is definitely in sight. My new prince will be arriving on June 9th, unless he decides to come on his own before then. I had 3 non-stress tests since the last post and everything is still fine, he likes to be stubborn when he's hooked up though. I had to go to the hospital last Saturday for one and the drs. office Tues. & Fri. Thursday I saw Dr. Carns and my bp was up and wouldn't go down, so we almost got to be induced this weekend. She made me do another 24 hr. urine lab, and luckily everything came back way better than last time. I was a little disappointed though because I am SO ready for him to be here. I am still only dilated to 3, but 75% effaced. I am swelling like a cow and it gets to the point my feet hurt to walk on them. I will be having 2 more NSTs next week, along with my appt. on Friday to find out all the specifics on getting induced. Unfortunately, I am also still supposed to be on bedrest so I won't be able to do too much. I might bend those rules a tad though!

Anxiously Awaiting

Baby Camden is well on his way. I am dilated to almost 3 and 50% effaced, hopefully it won't be that much longer. We had a very eventful past week. Last Monday I had to go to the hospital b/c of high blood pressure, Tuesday I went for contractions, Wednesday I went to the dr. and she sent me back for a 24 hr. urine test, which put me getting out early Friday morning-unfortunately on bedrest. Friday day we went to see the pediatrician to make sure we were gonna like him...loved him! Friday night Jess and Jase came in for the Relay for Life. It was wonderful seeing them. They are still working on moving this way. Saturday we had the Relay for Life, I went and sat up there most of the day with my feet propped up. Sunday was my aunt Mick's shower, she got tons of fun frilly pink stuff. We ended up going out to eat because I had no groceries in my house and then we went to Walmart, where I rode the cart around and entertained Carmon and Jess. We needed so much I didn't trust Carmon going on his own. Monday Jess and Jase had to go home, but it wasn't that bad with them leaving, they'll be back soon for Camden's arrival. I took it easy the rest of the day and Tuesday. Yesterday I went to the doctor and luckily got to come back home...Yay! I'm dilated to 3 already and 50% effaced, so hopefully he will come SOON. Monday I will officially be 37 weeks and the ultrasound last week showed him at 7 lbs already and very much still a him. I don't want to wait too much longer and have a 10 lb baby. He'll definitely be here for Father's Day! She said she won't let me go past 39 weeks. It's getting kind of scary, and still doesn't seem real. I'll try to keep you all informed!

Game Over

You will all be excited to know that my honorary, stubborn, ready-to-be born baby has a name....Finally!

Lee is after Carmon's Granny.

Carmon was going to try and make it a surprise that I got to name him Camden, but one of his friends ruined it :(

2 more weeks please!

A lot has been going on since my last post. Last week, I think Thursday, I started having some really bad back pain which I thought may have been a kidney stone or something of that nature. Thursday night I called the drs. office and she told me just to drink lots of water and take some pain meds if needed. I took some and made it through the night. The next day the pain came back, so I called the dr. again, just to make sure I didn't need to come in, b/c my next appt wasn't until today. They agreed again, it was probably just a kidney stone, just drink water.

The weekend went by and the pain kind of went away. Sunday night I was having really bad pain in my lower pelvis and about 3 Monday morning the back pain started again. I was supposed to sub, but I didn't feel like it so I called and told them I wouldn't be in. I called the drs. office at 9 hoping they would call back fast. I guess by now they thought I was just a big hypo, but they always say trust your instinct if you think somethings wrong, it probably is. Finally, about 1:30 I had to call again b/c they STILL had not called me back. I'm a little aggravated by this! They told me to come in at 3:30 to see the nurse practitioner. I got there and since they squeezed me in I didn't even go back until after 4. My blood pressure was up and going crazy. I knew it would probably be up b/c I was in pain. With my first kidney stone they couldn't even find one. I had tried to get Carmon to go w/ me to the dr. b/c I just had a feeling something wasn't right. He was trying to finish the baby's room though so I told him I would be okay. The NP came in and did some routine stuff and then told me she had to go talk to my dr. I wasn't really thinking then I guess. She came back in and told me that I had to go the hospital for some blood work and a non-stress test on the baby b/c of my bp. Great! (If they just would have called back they could have done it all at the office!!!) I called Carmon and he met me over there.

We got back in the room about 6 and they hooked me up to the monitor and all that fun stuff. My blood pressure keeps going up, and the pain is gone. Luckily there are no other signs of toxemia, but even worse I start having contractions! I'm only 35 weeks now, if it was 37 I wouldn't care. They kept getting closer together and at one point they were only a minute and a half apart! They ended up giving me a shot and lots of fluids. My contractions luckily stopped and I got to come home. I am officially dilated to a 1 though. I don't think baby Camden is going to make it until June.

I'm on unofficial bed rest so I'm gonna post more later today, but for now its sleepy time!
